From Women Healing Herstory
  • --- Women Healing Herstory
  • Herstory here means the Healing skills of women on every village, every continent, every Island on this planet, which for tenthousands of years has been practised. Skills, we ve heard of by oral history, by funerary art, by excavations, by embroideries as by Mekongdelta Women, by Galicia Women, by Semite Women of all Bedouin tribes in Neareast or Inka, Peru. Of course by oral herstory like the Moliyili UNI Dagbon, Gundonaa or the written documents like Trotula, Salerno, Italy, 12. century. Nowadays: by docs on the Internet like Audrey Tang, Taiwan or Frances Haugen USA, Emeka Sankara on traditional african healing and UBUNTU, open source.
  • Herstory means here support of Healing Herstory, which is decentralised and sustainable: it is the story of mothers, women of all social affiliations, of midwives: the skills of with humanity has survived for millions of years.
  • At the same time it means self reflection of white women's colonial eurocentric or western thinking structures. Selfreflection of other powerful nation oriented or ideology-based understanding of healing. For example like the instrumentalisation of chinese healing methods for political influence in the west. Or the appropriaton, instrumentalisation of healing by African, Indigenas, Latinas by western feminists. We should not conceal. that healing skills are often connected with rituals opressing humans: Often used in trafficking of women, children, slaves- nowadays, as the remembrance day of slavery reminds us:
  • With a deeper scrutiny and questioning it means storytelling, pictures and healing philosophy, where every minority reflects the own healing philosophy in comparing with others: without the one and only claim for absolute truth. Even philosophically we can look deeper: like the old aramäic language always had a double-bind- meaning in its expressions. Example: first sentence of the bible:
  • the earth is void and empty- who has at the same time the meaning of: the earth is full and round !

This page is a common , not meant for earning money, but to bring light on a long overseen Herstory. This page respects believes, but is no room for proselytising. This page is basically political, as Herstory is: it is a democratic ground understanding , no space for dictatorship or other power- over behaves or group of medical interest
  • The medical story of medical european history, Ayurveda, TCM, white mens "school"- medicine written by white men , the medical story of Aztec-priests- where ever you look: its the story written by powerful men, powerful over the people. And always if you look more back to the roots, to origins: what surprise! you find women at the origins of TCM, Ayurveda, western healing traditions, and so on. You find the midwives, the herb and metal women in the villages and the communities. Healing is per definition decentralised, is connected to all persons of a group, if a tribe wants to survive.
  • Its definitly questionable the nowadays city developments and urban centralised medical industries, hospitals. The nations closing ambulatory facilities, hospitals and underpay the midwives. To centralise high tech medical care for few people. WHO 2024 explains, that three Quarter of all women worldwide help themselves and depend still on traditional healing!
  • And no, women traditional healing has never been a promising rose garden., weather politically nor economically: it always has been a barter economy, comparable with open source digital community. A barefoot medicine in deep connection towards ecology: the plants, the humans, the animals and the metals. the winds and meteo of all kinds.
  • Herstory includes practises, which for example white women may not understand, which vice versa asian women may not understand. It is the balancing act of Herstory, to describe Healing especially we do not understand. It includes sometimes a violent application, we nowadays would not support. But it is Herstory. Women sometimes have been violent, ruling by fears, -
  • also healing by fear.

  • Balance of Feminist corrections and Human Rights:
  • It is the balancing act of Herstory to describe HEALING all inclusive, but still have the Human Rights in mind. Human rights, which nowadays are by definition not only a white people- but a definition by all and different Humanity. Human rights, which basically are rooted in the health of one person as much as the health of a whole community.
